Sentinel Tower

Project overview

Located in Takapuna, the Sentinel Tower apartments' exterior living space was upgraded for the enjoyment of the apartment owners. The work created four separate covered spaces for relaxing or entertaining, made from offsite prefabricated, prefinished structural steel members and onsite carpentry construction.

New glass-wall edging was installed to protect the space from wind, four levels up.

The challenge & specification

The fourth-floor communal area was open to the elements and prone to gale-force winds that made it unusable at times.

Omega upgraded the structure and installed glass-panel wind breaks around the pool edging, with the sheltered structures built from prefinished structural steel.
